In his two hour and twenty minute interview for the American Comedy Archives at Emerson College, Buck Henry talks about his start in improvisational comedy, and how he met many notable comedians such as Ted Flicker, George Segal and Joan Darling while active in the scene. He talks abut how he worshipped Steve Allen, and how writing on the show was a pivotal moment in his life and career. He speaks about creating the hit comedy show "Get Smart," and considers the question "was it worth it?" Bill Dana and Jenni Matz conducted the interview on May 26, 2005 in Los Angeles, CA.
