In his nearly two-hour interview for the American Comedy Archives at Emerson College, Bob Newhart talks about his start in the stand-up comedy scene, and how that led to TV and movie appearances, comedy tours, and even a Grammy win in the spoken-word category. Newhart speaks about how comedy is the best way to learn about you quirks, hang-ups and strengths. He discusses his experiences working with various comedians, and speaks fondly of comedians he admires such as Jerry Seinfled, Garry Shandling, Steven Wright, Ellen DeGeneres and many more.
