In his one hour interview for the American Comedy Archives at Emerson College, Dick Van Patten talks about how he got an early start in entertainment as a child theater actor in over 27 plays. He fondly recounts anecdotes from working on shows such as "Eight is Enough," "The Partners," and "The Dick Van Dyke Show." Van Patten also considers the question "was it worth it?"
